Both the New and Full moons this month harness the power of spiritual deep cleaning and transformation. The secret to your metamorphosis will be turning your pain into strength. Storm Cestavani points out that the Sun, Moon, and our friend Chiron will align to open the door to personal insights that could lead your soul to liberation, and closer to reaching your potential.
Chiron is a minor planet in the outer solar system and called the wounded healer. Its placement in your astrology chart alerts you to what your inner traumas are and how to overcome them.
Let's start with the New Moon in Aries on April 8th. If you haven’t heard yet, it’s also a solar eclipse that is conjoined with Chiron. Storm says this transit can throw us into an epic healing journey. What a great opportunity to heal our deepest and most debilitating wound.
Candle Ritual for “Don’t Relive It, Release It!”
Any time we make the effort to heal, we can be triggered by the anticipation of having to relive the experience. That alone makes it nearly impossible to want to start the journey. Unfortunately, if we don’t start, we’ll stay exactly where we are and that’s comfortable for only so long. I personally have experienced the cycle from numb to thinking I’m ready to heal a wound. It usually happens when I’m feeling happy and strong. Emotional hurts can be very opportunistic in that way.
For this candle ritual, you will need a Stability Blessed Herbal candle, Spiritual Clearing Blessed Herbal Candle, Love Me Aunt Jacki’s Ultimate candle, and three candleholders.
Before you start this candle ritual, go into meditation and ask to be surrounded by golden light for protection. Then ask for a deep rose-pink light to surround and fill you with divine love. Then ask your guardians and healers in spirit to be with you. Stay with this meditation for at least 10 minutes or until you feel safe and calm. Then open your eyes and begin your ritual.
Remove the packaging and place your candles in candle holders. In a straight line with the Stability candle on your left, the Spiritual Cleansing candle in the center, and the Love Me candle on your right. Choose what you want to heal and affirm that you will be releasing the energy of it and not re-living the memories of it. Do this ritual while sitting at the table with your candles in front of you.
Light the brown Stability Blessed Herbal candle. Read the blessing on the label or make a statement of being grounded and feeling safe and secure in the presence of Goddess Mother Earth. Imagine you are wrapped in her embrace and nurtured. Spend a few minutes soaking it all up and let it strengthen you.
When you feel ready, light the white Spiritual Cleansing Blessed Herbal candle. Read the blessing on the label or say one of your own. Close your eyes and focus on your subconscious mind. It encircles your head. Using your imagination, visualize white light coming from the candle and filling your subconscious mind. As this space around your head becomes filled with white light, its intensity becomes so bright you can not see anything but the glow of the light around your head. Watch as it expands to surround your entire body. You are filled with deep peace and all you are experiencing now is peace.
Know that the healers in spirit are releasing all that needs to be released from your mind, heart and emotions. Keep your focus on the peace and the white light. When a thought comes up, bless it and let it be absorbed by the white light. Do the same when an emotion comes up. If anything becomes difficult, ask your healing spirit to help you and refocus on the light and peaceful feeling. Take deep breaths occasionally to go deeper into the state of peace. Stay with this meditation and visualization for 10 minutes or until you feel complete with this step.
Open your eyes and light the third and final candle, Love me. This candle is in celebration of you. Acknowledge what great work you have done and appreciate your own courage and strength for releasing your pain during this powerful New Moon and solar eclipse. Now it’s time to fill your subconscious mind with affirmations of love. It’s good to say them out loud.
“I am loved, I am lovable, God loves me, I love me, My worth is priceless, I am cherished by God, I am an integral part of the universe, without me, the universe will never be complete, I am love, I am an individualized spark of God and eternal, God will always love me and will always send me love, no matter what challenges I am experiencing, I am loved.”
Add more affirmations that have personal meaning. Now, visualize yourself being loved, however that looks and feels authentic to you. It could be a long loving hug, floating among the stars, in nature, the choice is yours. Stay with this step for at least 10 minutes. Take more time if needed. When you feel complete, open your eyes and smile. Stretch and get a drink of water and a snack. Do something you enjoy to reinforce this candle ritual. You can repeat this ritual again and again. Light your candles daily until they are gone. Never leave a burning candle unattended.
Candle rituals are not a substitute for professional help when dealing with trauma. While rituals may offer temporary comfort, seeking the guidance of trained therapists provides effective strategies for long-term mental and emotional well-being. It's essential to prioritize professional support for lasting healing and resilience.
