Manifesting New Business, Part 1: The Power of Belief

“What we think, we become.” —Buddha

In the realm of New Age and metaphysical businesses, your success often hinges on more than just keeping the lights on, the employees busy, and staying up late. It’s a dance with the unseen forces that shape our reality, and the key to unlocking their potential lies in the power of belief.

Unlocking the Mindset for Success

The journey to manifestation begins with a simple yet profound act: believing in your vision. It’s the spark that ignites the flame of possibility, the foundation upon which your dreams take shape. Without belief, your goals remain mere whispers in the wind, lacking the fierce determination required to bring them into existence. You know, as a business owner, that nothing gets done if all you do is talk about it, and say “Someday…” or “That is part of Phase II.” Pro Tip: Phase II never happens.

Belief is the currency of the universe, a magnetic force that attracts circumstances and opportunities aligned with your deepest desires. When you truly believe in your ability to succeed, you open the floodgates of creativity, resilience, and unwavering commitment.

“The only limit to your impact is your imagination and commitment.” —Tony Robbins

The Role of Positive Affirmations and Visualization

Positive affirmations and visualization are our strongest tools in the arsenal of belief. Like seeds planted in fertile soil, these practices nurture and reinforce the mindset you seek to cultivate.

Affirmations are powerful statements that you repeat to yourself, shaping your inner dialogue and reprogramming your subconscious mind. “I am capable of achieving greatness,” “I attract abundance effortlessly,” or “My business is thriving and prosperous” — these affirmations become self-fulfilling prophecies, guiding you towards the reality you envision.

To amplify the impact of affirmations, create a conducive environment for their practice. Set the mood by finding a quiet, distraction-free space where you can fully immerse yourself in the process. Establish a daily ritual, dedicating the same time each day to reciting your affirmations, allowing them to become a deeply ingrained habit.

Obviously, this isn’t always possible. Many of us have chaotic lives, especially as business owners. Don’t beat yourself up if you can’t make a repeatable time each day. Think creatively. When can you get free time to recite your affirmations?

  • Upon waking up. Have your affirmation printed out or hand-written by your bed.
  • In the bathroom. Why not? You needn’t say them outloud unless you don’t mind a few odd glances when you leave the stall.
  • While getting dressed. Again, you do this every day. It takes several minutes (for some of us!) so use that time to recite.
  • During exercise. Especially during walking, cycling, yoga, or Tai Chi.
  • Waiting for a ride.
  • While cooking or cleaning.
  • Right before bed. This is my favorite time to. As you head into slumber, an affirmation of success is one of the last conscious thoughts you have. This even affects your dreams in a positive way.

  • Print out your affirmations and strategically place them in areas where you’re likely to see them throughout the day – on your desk, your mirror, or even your screensaver. These constant reminders will reinforce the beliefs you’re cultivating, keeping them top-of-mind and helping them permeate every aspect of your life.

I like to put mine on Super Sticky Post-it® Notes that I affix to the bottom of my monitor. That way, even when I am not consciously looking at them, I see them subconsciously. I use the Super Sticky variety of Post-it® because they don’t curl up or fall off.

Visualization, on the other hand, is the art of vividly imagining your desired outcome as if it has already manifested. When you engage your senses and emotions in this mental exercise, you prime your mind and body to act in alignment with your vision, paving the way for its realization.

    Overcoming Self-Limiting Beliefs and Fears

Belief is a double-edged sword, and just as it can propel you toward success, limiting beliefs can sabotage your efforts before they even begin. Fear of failure, self-doubt, and negative self-talk are formidable foes, but they can be conquered through conscious effort and unwavering determination.

Identify the limiting beliefs that have held you back, and challenge them with logic and evidence. Surround yourself with a supportive network of like-minded individuals who share your vision and can uplift you when doubt creeps in.

Remember, fear is merely a byproduct of stepping into the unknown – a sign that you're venturing beyond your comfort zone and into the realm of growth and transformation.

“The only way to get rid of your fears is to make them happen.” —Paulo Coelho

In the end, belief is a choice – a conscious decision to align your thoughts, emotions, and actions with the reality you wish to create. It’s the foundation upon which all manifestation rests, the catalyst that transforms dreams into tangible success.

At Coventry, we regularly manifest success and recite affirmations at the beginning of our leadership meetings. It puts all of us in the same mindset and keeps the energy flowing toward a common goal of success.

Embrace the power of belief, and watch as the magic of manifestation unfolds, transforming your business and your life in ways you never thought possible.
